I hadn't really thought about it...I don't use Apache 2.x in production (I use 1.3.26), so there's really no priority for me to recompile every time a new version of Apache comes out. I will gladly host binaries if someone wants to email them to me, since it looks like the Tomcat dev team either 1) doesn't have time to make binaries or 2) doesn't want to release binaries. Otherwise it might be awhile before I get around to downloading, installing, and compiling new Apache and new connectors on my trash box.
