I compared the logs files between the executions under 4.0.4 and 4.1.12.
The only difference is this:

2002-09-30 12:40:31 ContextConfig[/abaco-simpleServlet]: Added
certificates -> request attribute Valve

...that is in the 4.0.4 log.  So I think something is missing in the
4.1.12 startup.

What can I do? I'm pretty lost!
