In this case you don't need ssl on the tomcat side.

The ssl is completly decrypted by apache and you
can just use ajp to connect apache with tomcat.

Betreff: urgent , pls help ssl and apache and tomcat

If apache is intercepting ssl requests, and forwards requests to tomcat, does tomcat needs to be ssl enabled??? and should i use ajp or https connector between apache and tomcat for the request to work successfuly over ssl??
