That's why I stuck to Apache2.0.40 + Tomcat4.0.4 using mod_jk on Linux
kernel 2.4.2 It's been working find for me for 2-3 months now. There are
some issues with source code exposure, but that can be patched.
Compiled Apache 2 and mod_jk , but I didn't use ANT (although I have it
installed on the Tomcat server).
I am writing up some doco for internal consumption on those versions
because I know they work. 
However I have some issues accessing Oracle via the servlets in the
container using HTTP-tunnel (HTTP makes URL connection to applet, then
the applet tunnel thru to servlet and servlet queries the db).
I thought you told me you are sticking to isam files with C/C++ , last
year ???
