Hi, I'm having trouble getting my servlets, residing in a classes directory, to execute. Tomcat appears to no be able to locate them.
I am using the traditional directory structure with WEB-INF, lib, etc.. Hitting the URL: http://web:8080/cmscvb/ Gives me a directory listing. I have tested jsp's in this directory which compile and execute fine. But... When I try to hit the servlet helloWorld.class (which resides in the classes directory) by accessing the URL: http://web:8080/cmscvb/servlet/helloWorld I get a "The requested resource (/cmscvb/servlet/helloWorld) is not available." message. I have the webapp registered in the server.xml. I have tried servlet-mapping (in the web.xml) the servlet to a specific URL. This results in a "ClassNotFound" error. I have never had this trouble before... And its driving me insane. Thank you for your support in advance. ---------------------------- Darin Kuntze Senior Technologist The Sacco Group http://www.saccogroup.com (p)402.392.2222 x120 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:tomcat-user-unsubscribe@;jakarta.apache.org> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:tomcat-user-help@;jakarta.apache.org>
