Try, http://localhost:8080 - take a look in your /conf/server.xml there you specify this port.
the default port for the browser (if you don't enter a port) , when your URL starts with "http" is 80. -----Originalnachricht----- Von: Powers, Mary E An: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Gesendet: 13.11.2002 03:43 Betreff: Testing tomcat with IIS installed I just installed jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12 and j2sdk1.4.1_01 on a Windows XP box. I am a neophyte. I started tomcat, but when I open <http://localhost/> http://localhost/ I keep getting an IIS web page. It seems to be pointing to the inetpub directory. Can you tell me what I should do to get the browser point to C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12\jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12\webapps\ROOT? TIA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
