Somebody posted a "How to contribute to the documentation in 7 easy steps" message awhile back, but I can't find it in the archives despite much determined searching. I think it might have been Robert Sowders who posted it, but I can't remember for sure. If anyone remembers that post, I'd love a get a link to it in the archives so that I can bookmark it. Or, if anyone wants to write/rewrite/post/repost such a HOWTO, I'd love to see it.
