I filed a bug on this, but the error only occurs when I try to set my app as the root context (path="").
http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16762 BTW, my app and db connection still works, just errors in the log. This bug includes a workaround - placing my app in the webapps/ROOT folder.
