I don't know for Red Hat, but for Solaris and Windows I can tell you: Simply delete the folder of your unzipped the archive. Believe it or not... That's the trick.
Ooohh mighty tomcat developers... please provide us a least one uninstall shell script for that purpose ;-) Preferably a Swing-GUI, of course...
