Personally - I'd rather slam my arm in a door a few times than use an applet for any type of webapp, but occasionally - we don't have the luxury of choice.

But the big question is for me why does it work when I access the local host (http://localhost:8080/...) and it does not work when I access the real server (www.urbaplan.net/Urbaplan/upIndex.htm). For me there must be a problem on the server. But I do not have any error message. So I also do not know where to start. Is there a possibility that the JVM dumps something?
