Oh, what I meant was that an option would be to post a message to the list and then later in the day you could execute this command and feed it the subject you used when you posted your message to see all of the replies. This would spare you the traffic of the list but let you post and read messages.
But I'm not entirely sure how the list is configured (as to whether or not you can post a message without being subscribed). And of course, if everyone /did/ do this, there wouldn't be much of a discussion on this list. ;)
