Hi, There are two things I would like to point out. 1. You don't really need the admin app ..so just read the manual on how to edit server.xml and web.xml. 2. It would be more efficient to post a bug in the bugzilla, than shout at the tomcat-user list.
The admin application is really a new thing in tomcat, so I don't think everyone espects it to be fully working. Maybe it's enough for you to have the HTML-Manager application, read all about it at http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/html-manager-howto.html There you can deploy, start, stop and reload your applications.
