See: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4776385.html Code compiled with Java 1.4 (like Tomcat) doesn't work with standard Java 1.2 To fix this you need to do either: - Install a newer JVM, 1.3 or higher. Why are you using such and old JVM anyway? - Install the Hotspot 2.0 for Java 1.2 http://java.sun.com/products/hotspot/2.0/download.html - Kristjan "Horst Behrendt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 02.04.2003 11:16:17: > Sorry I am a newbie to tomcat and because i heard so much good thinks > about it i am trying to get it up and running. > > Unfortunately i have to install it (tomcat4.1.24) on WIN NT with > jvm1.2.
