take a look at the CATALINA_HOME/webapps directory and look at manager.xml and admin.xml Those are context configuration files. When deploying a .war file (via the catalina ant manager "deploy" task), the context configuration file needs to be named "context.xml" and added to the "META-INF" directory of your .war file. The contents of the file are simply a <Context ...> element just like you might add to the server.xml file.
