Dear Tomcat People, Today starting my 2nd day of Tomcat. I deleted all the Tomcat files from yesterday's experience and started over.
1) set the JAVA_HOME environment variable under Preferences in "My Computer" 2)Created a "Tomcat" directory 3) downloaded the Tomcat 5 to the newly created Tomcat directory 4) extracted the startup files under the bin folder 5) tried to verify the service is running by typing in <A HREF="http://localhost:8080";>http://localhost:8080</A> I received an error message that said " web site not responding" Thank you for your assistance Stan
