Hi all,
This is probably an OS question, not a Tomcat one, but possibly some of
you may have had to do this. I have tomcat 4.1.24 running on a Win2K server
on which I have partial access, meaning that tomcat's base directory has
been shared to me. I have no other access to this computer (no pc anywhere,
for example). I need to be able to run a startup script on this machine,
remotely. But so far I can't get it to work. If I run startup.sh from the
shared drive, it just starts up my local version of tomcat because it's
treating that share just like another drive on my computer. I have
ColdFusion running on that server, too, and so I wrote a stop/start batch
file and then had ColdFusion execute it, but that didn't work, either
(although it did work on another machine).
So, basically: how can I cycle tomcat remotely, given that I have access
to Tomcat's root directory but nothing more?

Thanks.
