Hi Tetsuo,

I found that the latest Scientific Linux kernel "2.6.32-131.21.1.el6"
will not build with either "ccs-patch-2.6.32-centos-6.2.diff" or
"ccs-patch-2.6.32.diff".

When I look at this file:

    tags/ccs-patch/1.8.3p4/patches/ccs-patch-2.6.32-centos-6.2.diff

the upstream kernel package version is "2.6.32-220.el6".

I looked at the timestamps for the kernel packages on the official
RedHat mirror [1]:

    22nd November
        kernel-2.6.32-131.21.1.el6.src.rpm
    11th November
        kernel-2.6.32-220.el6.src.rpm

The "2.6.32-220.el6" kernel is actually older and is not on Scientific
Linux mirrors [2] or CentOS mirrors [3], where "2.6.32-131.21.1.el6"
is the latest available kernel.

I'm slightly confused as to what the "2.6.32-220.el6" kernel is for. I
looked at the changelog in the kernel.spec of each kernel package, and
the changelogs diverge completely after "2.6.32-131.el6" on April 11th
2011. My first guess is that the "2.6.32-220.el6" kernel is part of
some kind of pre-release development track for a future RHEL kernel
release, and I think we should be providing a diff for
"2.6.32-131.21.1.el6" kernel instead. But maybe I'm missing something.

Kind regards,
Jamie
