The problem is that stuff is bigger when modularized. If I pull stuff from the kernel, less will fit on the floppy. I went back and forth with whether I put the SCSI or the NET stuff in the kernel (I can't put it ALL in or it will be too big for some memory configurations, zimage problems, etc.)... for various reasons, (such as nfsroot capability), the net drivers will stay in... -Tom > I'm still voting to have the Tulip driver removed from the kernel, though
