Subject: Remote DUMP restore?
X-Sun-Charset: US-ASCII

Folks,

We are running a group of servers, SCSI disks and SCSI
backup tape drives.

We were very happy with tomsrtbt since we were actually
able to restore a dump from tape to recover a system.

Not all the fileservers have tape units, we use dump to
do remote backups to the machine with the tape, i.e.
dump .... backupmachine:/dev/nst0

We would REALLY like to able to do restore, i.e
restore -xf backupmachine:/dev/nst0

Tried the command and got an "rdump" error complaining
about no tcp service.

Would appreciate any guidance on this.
Best regards!

                                          John
