Good catch, Tom! I should have remembered that!
It occurred to me after I sent one of these previous
messages that it couldn't be the 'mount' command because
the version of that on your rtbt had not changed. I
wrongly attribed my RDWR problem to the non-default
block/inode density.
Unfortunately the -o nocheck and -o check=none don't
work for my version of 'mount' --- we'll see if a
dist-upgrade helps.
