The APA1480 is in the add-ons directory, not the base image. It will never be included. It is 4 times as large as most of the other scsi driver modules, it it 116K, for comparison, the qlogic pcmcia scsi driver is 9K. When and if they re-write the driver so it isn't bloated by a factor of 13, it might make it in. The specifics of supporting it are unfortunately beyond my expertise, that is, I don't have such a PCMCIA card, so I can only go so far. You may need to read the PCMCIA documentation and/or the source code for the driver. My conjecture is that the driver in my add-ons directory is fine and will operate your card, if configured correctly. -Tom On Mon, 9 Oct 2000, Jun Keller wrote: > Date: Mon, 9 Oct 2000 15:14:26 +0200 > From: Jun Keller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: Jun Keller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: Tom Oehser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: bootfloppy with pcmcia/scsi-support > > > The Adaptec APA-1480 CardBus card needs a large IO port window (256 > > So that means the apa1480 module is included? > > > Did you try expanding the port window? > > .....
