Tomsrtbt-ers, I've got a dell latitude CPx notebook with a Xircom CBEM56G card in it (10/100 ethernet + 56K Modem). I'm trying to use tomsrtbt 1.7.185 to boot this puppy and talk on the net. PCMCIA is of course giving me fits. I modified /etc/pcmcia/config to add: card "Xircom CBEM56G-100 CardBus 10/100 Ethernet + 56K Modem" version "Xircom", "*", "CBEM56G" bind "tulip_cb" to 0, "serial_cb" to 1 which came from my installation of storm linux 2.02 on the notebook. I added kernel module tulip_cb into /lib/modules/misc from the tomsrtbt ftp site. I think I had to download serial_cb as well. I run "pcmcia start" and get a lower tone beep and some messages. Starting PCMCIA services ... cardmgr[90]: config error, file 'config' line 502: unknown device: tulip_cb cardmgr[90]: watching 2 sockets cs: IO port probe stuff...... cardmgr[90]: initializing socket 0 cardmgr[90]: unsupported card in socket 0 cardmgr[90]: product into: "Xircom","CardBus Ethernet 10/100 + Modem 56", "CBEM56G", "1.03" What else am I missing? Oh, I also went into settings.s and added dns servers and an IP address. Thanks, --- "Now our great self re-invention is looking like our worst mistake" - Loud Family; Live version of Sword Swallower Dennis Sacks [EMAIL PROTECTED]
