A possible solution based on tomsrtbt floppy disk is presented in the
"LILO-crash-rescue-HOWTO". You can get it from

When you turn on your computer and the word "lilo" appears on the screen,
you could press one of the following keys to activate the prompt: shift, 
tab, alt or ctrl.
