Well, I have finally done something, at least, and uploaded a beta update to the beta 1.7.205, notable changes include static fdformat and fdflush programs in the installer so those without libc5 can install it, removed the Advansys scsi driver, removed the dmsdos patch from the kernel, upgraded the kernel to 2.0.39-final, upgraded the e2fs tools to 1.19, and fixed the pax/tar/cpio vfat segfault. I recompiled all the modules and add-ons, and the pcmcia is upgraded to 3.0.12 and recompiled (cardmgr is still 3.0.5, it seems to still work, but the card managers and modules are new). There is one sector free, so the next works have to include making more space. Try it and let me know soon what is broken and I'll upload it overtop of 1.7.185. -Tom
