Ok, I figured out that while focusing on messing with kernel versions, I
was accidentally mixing pcmcia-cs versions, and also I didn't look to see
that cb_enabler had to be loaded, anyway, if you have an apa1480:

- get cb_enabler.o.bz2 and apa1480_cb.o.bz2

- insmod cb_enabler before apa1480_cb

I have only confirmed that the module loads OK since I don't have such a
card myself.
