Would it be possible to get recipe-like instructions for building a new
kernel? I am trying to get a version of tomsrtbt that will work with
the network card on my laptop (LinkSys EtherFast 10/100), which seems to
require the 8390.o module. Having gone through the mailing list
archives at some length, I gather that this used to be there, but is no
longer. I can't simply drop in my copy of this module from my
/usr/src/linux tree, because I am using a 2.2 kernel (2.2.17-14). I
have made several attempts to get this to work, to no avail. In the
latest attempt, I went through the busybox sources and tried to get a
new version of insmod (which appears to be the latest problem I'm
having).
