May be the international kernel is to big but what about a cfs (it works over udp I think) may be your can tell it to work with tcp in connection with nc or something else (lua-sock?). I think there is space for 125k on the disk when ce etc.. is "rm" this may be 300k bzip2's space for well designed module.
