I think it a good Idea. I host an intranet wiki which is used to document mini & micro howto's on various administrative tasks, manufacturing processes, and collaboration on standards within our company. For these type purposes, It would be useful to have these how-I-did-it's for tomsrtbt indexed, searchable & modifiable, as a wiki would likely do. It will take some work to refactor the mailing list archives into a wiki.
