There is more to do than just putting a mew kernel onto the disk. I did it
myself and discovered that the busybox-insmod didn't work anymore. So I had
to recompile busybox (don't forget 'yecho.c' and 'necho.c' by Tom, see the
mailing list archives). Well, there's no need to recompile busybox, if you
don't need modules.

There were some other changes I tried (i.e. upgrading libc.5.13 to 5.46)
but
I ran into disk space troubles. I tried the beta version v1.11 of upx
(http://upx.sourceforge.net/) to compress the kernel and hey, there's
another
100k free! It works flawless for me on serveral different machines.
