LIL means:
LIL The second stage boot loader has been started, but it can't load
the descriptor table from the map file. This is typically caused by a
media failure or by a geometry mismatch.
(by the way, these errors are in the LILO README file).
It is *VERY* strange that you see it on both the CD and the Floppy.
That implies that the computer has a problem with *both* standard 2.88 MB
floppy format on a bootable CD, *and* 1.722 21 sector format used by the
tomsrtbt floppy.
This is long before the hard drives would matter, it is more likely the
floppy support in the BIOS.
Has anyone else had experience with "Netfinity"?
