Has anyone gotten an IBM EtherJet? 10/100 card working with tomsrtbt? I've read the
following post, which makes it sound possible:
http://not.toms.net/tomsrtbt/2501/msg02073.html as does this:
http://www.mobilix.org/pcmcia_ci10130.html although other pages are less encouraging,
like: http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS
Here's what I've tried:
I unpacked tomsrtbt 1.0.103
I put the following files from /addons into 2/lib/modules/
* cardbus.o
* cb_enabler.o
* tulip_cb.o
I added these lines in 2/etc/pcmcia/config:
card "IBM 10/100 EtherJet CardBus"
manfid 0x00a4, 0x0113
bind "tulip_cb"
I ran buildit, and booted my thinkpad with the resulting disk.
When I remove the card, I see this message:
cs: cb_alloc(bus 5): vendor 0x115d, device 0x0003
Then when I replace the card, I see:
Nov 21 16:12:00 cardmgr[25]: unsupported card in socket 1
Nov 21 16:12:00 cardmgr[25]: product info: "IBM", "10/100 EtherJet CardBus",
"IBMC-10/100", "1.04"
Nov 21 16:12:00 cardmgr[25]: manfid: 0x00a4, 0x0113 function: 6 (network)
Nov 21 16:12:00 cardmgr[25]: PCI id: 0x115d, 0x0003
(These are the same messages I saw when using the unmodified disk.)
I must be missing something. Presumably the module works, or Tom wouldn't have
included it in /addons. Any suggestions? Also, please pardon me for cross-posting; I
got no replies on the Wiki last week.
Thanks for any pointers!
