This error is caused by the target shell using compilation options (or the target library using options) which require that the kernel be newer than a certain version. It is hard-coded what that version is, and in many if not most cases it would work fine if the check were not there.
What version of tomsrtbt? Tomsrtbt-2.0.103? In the old Tomsrtbt-1.x.x, I faked-out the kernel version. Maybe I'll have to do something similar.
