Hi, I try to clone a hd-partition with partimage. I copy the unpacked partimage to [tomsrtbt]/tmp an and started the static-linked program - very good! Than I try to start the partimaged with option -D for demonmode - but partimaged can't find the user partimg in my /etc/passwd, it's there whith a user id 7 and group 0. I disabled the passwd or leave it blank or take the root-one. Partimaged said "can't find user partimag, user adduser ..." does anyone know how to get the user and than partimaged work.
And can I use fdisk from the tomsrtbt in a script for creating a new paritition and then use nc/dd to copy the image-file on it.
