True.

You do want /dev.

I support and encourage newbies to use tomsrtbt. I define
"use tomsrtbt" as "run tomsrtbt in ramdisk from floppy or CD"
and "customize the floppy for various special needs".

I intentionally discourage installation of tomsrtbt to hard drive.

Partially this is because there are many hd-installable
Linuxes, I think things like DragonLinux or DosLinux, that
can boot from loadlin, and which have many things that the
tomsrtbt does not. For example, a hard-drive boot should
be doing an fsck on the hard drive as part of booting- and
tomsrtbt does not- so if you just install it- you are at risk.

The thing is, again, tomsrtbt is for booting from floppy, to
rescue hard drives. If you are installing Linux on a hard
drive, I think there are many reasons *not* to use tomsrtbt
as the distribution installed on the hard drive, and that
isn't a capability that I am going to make changes to the
base tomsrtbt in order to make it safer or easier...

It is more of a parlour trick if you are marooned on an
island with a laptop and a tomsrtbt diskette...

If you fish enough in the mailing list archives, though,
you will find all the answers to this question, how to do it.
