I've been struggling trying to flash a Compaq Ia1 to Linux; this is an "internet appliance" that contains a AMD 266 with 32mb. As a step in the process, I think I need to boot a CF card (32mb or more) so I can do the actual flash. I need a 386 Linux system on a CF card that can be booted. I occurred to me that Toms might be a good source for such a system. Does anyone have any thoughts about installing Toms on a CF? I have no idea what needs to be done.
