Re mice - I got it working and find it very useful. Not too difficult in the end. If anyone else is interested in using the mouse on a tomsrtbt I can append more details here.

Re kernel parms - thanks for the pointer to the lilo.conf in buildit.s - that worked.

My customized tomsrtbt now has 320 free sectors - what else shall I put on ...

It never even occurred to me that a mouse would be useful during
system recovery and emergency restoration, it is honestly so low
on the priority list to even think about mice that I've never
