I'm working on improving the error reporting for serial communications. It's 
important to note that *most* PDA adapters are not capable of the speeds 
necessary to talk to a Pronto (115kbps). It's best if you get a high speed 
serial adapter like the USA-19QW. If an adapter claims to max out at 
115kbps, then it's probably not very reliable at that speed. Pronto's have 
extremely touch serial ports and will demand a very precisely timed 115kbps.
