In the past, I've had fairly good luck the Keyspan adaptor. The
driver that comes with it seems to work well.

I have used Tonto before, with a Windows box. But, after trying

I am using an IOGear GUC232A USB->Serial adapter. It claims
115,200bps support, and I have used it with GPS devices, so the
adapter works. But, Tonto never finds the device (even when I put
it in the configuration preferences manually). On the Mac, it
shows up as /dev/tty.usbserial0
Has anyone successfully used this?
