gnulib is like autotools ... it's generated code based on the latest
checkout at the time they're generated.  upstream has simply made
changes since i last generated the autotools in gdbproxy.  the copy
last checked into our svn matched the upstream gnulib state at the
time i ran the autogen.sh script.

gnulib has been known to change the licensing of their modules over
time based on request to make integration in other projects easier.
