Hi,
Just wanted you to know that in addition to making SVN support generally
available on Monday, Oct 9, we have also targeted that day to start a
Mercurial beta.
We will make a test repository of ON source code available for people to
use as a sandbox to try out commands. Copies will be obtained using the
anonymous checkout functionality.
Steve Lau will send details when the repository is available.
Thanks.
Bonnie
My current plan is to have two repositories, both read-only:
onnv-gate
onnv-clone
These will mirrour our internal repositories. onnv-clone will be a
child of onnv-gate and will be updated nightly. onnv-gate will be
updated real-time and may be subject to breakage if we find a bug in my
Teamware/Hg bridge. So if you do intend to pull from onnv-gate, please
also be ready and willing to deal if something breaks and I end up
having to do undo operations or something that could potentially screw
up your child repository.
Neither of these will support commits. If people really want that, I
suppose we could setup a onnv-sandbox, but I don't really see what that
buys us at the moment.
cheers,
steve
