This one gives me a bit of indigestion.  "-" often means "stdin" in
other contexts, and "./nightly.env" seems like an acceptable substitute
(using a shell with filename completion makes it easier to type).

I like this.  I've tried various heuristics in my .kshrc to detect
running in bldenv, and I haven't come up with anything that seems to
work well.
