To misquote LP Hartly, "Diagnosing problems on unfamiliar operating systems is a foreign country: they do things differently there".
The June London OpenSolaris User group meeting will feature "Solaris Troubleshooting – The Unofficial Tourist Guide " which covers common problems and how to approach them, giving an overview of the rich set of diagnostic tools provided within Solaris which may be unfamiliar. Presenting the talk this month will be Peter Harvey, Solaris RPE Staff Engineer and trained Sun Global Resolution (a formal troubleshooting methodology) Leader. Refreshments will be served from 18.00 at the Sun Microsystems Customer Briefing Centre, Regis House, 45 King William Street, London, EC4R 9AN and the presentation will start at 18.30, following which there will be food and a selection of soft drinks, beer and wine provided. Anyone with an interest in OpenSolaris is welcome at LOSUG so please invite your customers along or why not bring along your student Campus Ambassadors? To register to attend the next LOSUG meeting on 20th June, please send your name to [EMAIL PROTECTED] asking to be added to the LOSUG 20/06 list. If you wish to suggest areas of diagnostics to cover during the session please email them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] prior to the event. We're looking forward to seeing you there.
