Hello OpenSolaris, I'm one of the technical writers at Sun who supports Sun Studio. I was looking through the Community Tools page of OpenSolaris.org and noticed that there really is no mention of Sun Studio 12 (now available for download from http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/index.jsp ) except under the FAQ which says the SS12 release is being evaluated.
Can you please let me know who is conducting the evaluation and how it is progressing? Also, I would suggest adding a note to the various Sun Studio 11 pages, such as the downloads page (http://opensolaris.org/os/community/tools/sun_studio_tools/), saying that Sun Studio 12 is available but under evaluation. The note would help the tools page look up-to-date. Where there is no mention of Sun Studio 12, it looks as if the pages are stale.
