We do use it. There are some bugs in our Makefiles that cause it not to be used, but those are just that -- bugs. BTW, Jonathan Adams explored this in some depth as part of 4263318, and handed that off to me when he left Sun. Unfortunately, I've been swamped on project work myself and have not had time to work on it.
