I'm not convinced of the value of assuming that the client is the
system experiencing the problem...if it is, we probably won't be able
to detect a useful level of detail (see my subsequent reply on this),
and if it's not, it's useless anyway.  I'd prefer to see this not
used, and set the default to something common.  Probably that's
Solaris Express/x86.
