Forgive me for not wanting to beat my brains out pointlessly when an
answer should be able to be given without requiring the pain
equivalent to the extraction of teeth.

What is obvious to you is not obvious to me; perhaps I'm oblivious but
after wasting almost 10 hours trying to figure out the correct flag on
my own I'm no longer interested in doing so.

The "figure it out" option is lame; end of story.
