I saw, and reassigned, two from you in the triage queue today. (All bugs
filed via the webapp go into a temporary holding category in the bugster db,
solaris/opensolaris/triage-queue, and representatives from all the projects
& consolidations are supposed to monitor it and reassign as needed.
Unfortunately, only a couple of people do most of it, and things pile up when
we're not watching.)

Yes, but it was rejected because it was closed source. (I was in favor
of considering it since other Sun open source projects are doing so, so
we might be able to share deployment resources, but open source was
decided to be a requirement so we could modify to meet our needs.)
The discussions should all be findable in the tools-discuss archives
(mostly under "Defect Tracking System" or "DTS" subject lines).
