I wasn't aware that the IDs are stable over time.  Knowing that much is
helpful.

That'd be cool.  Cooler still would be an opt-in flag on bugster that
allows developers within Sun to say, "I'm working on OpenSolaris, and
I've given up my right to bug-tracking privacy," so that the external
mail tool can just do the right thing.
