/contrib packages are built from package spec files (pkgbuild) submitted to Source Juicer. http://jucr.opensolaris.org/help/main explains how to use jucr. spec-files-extra is a community repository of spec files (predating jucr, and currently still lacking an automated way to submit specs to jucr). It currently has ghc (6.10.4) and other Haskell software like xmonad. I *strongly* suggest updating the specs there first (you may wish to coordinate this with the original author), and submitting the updated spec to jucr (with minor changes). Duplication is quickly becoming a problem as many jucr users are not aware of SFE. Source Juicer and SFE require pkgbuild and the Common Build Environment, http://pkgbuild.sf.net/ - http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/pkgbuild/index.php?title=Pkgbuild_on_OpenSolaris has instructions on installing and using these tools. -Albert _______________________________________________ tools-discuss mailing list tools-discuss@opensolaris.org
