Yes I should, and I thought I already told you that this is what I'm doing for the english wikipedia and for commons. I even used to have a Javascript gadget that sent the data to the toolserver, whenever a coordinate in an article was updated. In any case, the red dot, is generated on the the client side and will always use the most up to date coordinates.
